OH-IO
I will be honest, the sole purpose of going to Ohio is to visit family and friends. however, this trip did not go as planned! we knew we were going to stop in Columbus to see my family. so that was our “layover” on the way to Cleveland. it was really nice to see my family because I hadn’t seen them in a couple years! spending time with the kids and eating delicious pizza was more than we could ask for. our plan was to wake up and drive to Cleveland the next morning, only when the time came to start the van she wasn’t having it! this was another inexplainable hiccup with the workings of our “home away from home”. I say inexplainable because whenever we take her to get checked out, everyone has told us not to worry about it and it’s probably fine. (this has been a running joke the past month).
anyway, we had to reevaluate our plans because we weren’t sure the status of our ride. so we ended up staying in Columbus another day/night, which meant we could attend my cousin’s daughter’s birthday party at a skate rink! there was cake, punch, and arcade games till your hearts content. we had a blast and Adam’s skating skills blew mine out of the water. we ended the night with a family dinner and some Grater’s ice cream. overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Columbus even with the van acting up! (to be fair, this was the first time she has probably ever seen cold weather of any sort).
the next morning we were able to get the van started and we hit the road to Virginia! the final destination (for a bit). stay tuned for that!
