Alaska Adventures

Well for those of you that have been following along, Adam and I have arrived in Alaska. We took the ferry from Washington so that we could bring a car with us (filled with our belongings…mostly my belongings). It actually worked out really well!

The ferry was such a unique experience. We were on a boat with our car slowly trekking through islands in British Columbia. There was mist laying low on the mountains, which are dispersed along the coast. It’s such a unique view everywhere you look! I took some really cool pictures with a real camera. This was my opportunity to work on a creative outlet by taking pictures off the boat. We also took advantage of the limited cell service to play a bunch of card games together. It was a blast!

The arrival from the boat was also a special experience. Driving our car off the ramp and right into the town was a more final feeling than I have felt before. But this also felt like a brand new chapter for us. Our first stop was a local diner for some coffee and breakfast. We even met our new landlord there, so it was quite a nice introduction to the area.

Things are ever-changing, so we’re enjoying this current place to call home while we can. I still pinch myself that this is my life!

The cruise ships have begun to arrive and that’s something I’ve never experienced before, even living in Hawaii. They tower over the entire town and there are countless people walking on the streets for the day until the ship leaves. Then the town resumes its quiet streets and closed shops once again. It leaves me speechless every time so far.

Overall, life has been good out here. We’re embracing all the new experiences and challenges together while making shit happen. It’s everything we wanted and more!

Thanks for tuning in. One of these days, I’ll be sharing more about our previous worldly travels. I’m in the process of writing down all my memories from that time as well as collecting all our best photos. Not sure if I’ll be sharing all of that here, but we’ll see what happens.

Much love! 💙
