6 months abroad
My relationship with this blog has been somewhat resistant as I’ve listened to a lot of my fears over the past year. So the timeline of events has been a bit scattered as we magically jumped over months of time. However, I’m determined to stroll down memory lane and remind myself of the amazing experiences we’ve had over the past year.
There were many adventures that we went on during our time living in Virginia that weren’t included on here as well. I don’t want those trips to be forgotten or overshadowed by our time abroad. So they shall have their place on the blog as well as our most recent month-long road trip across the northern part of the US.
I do appreciate you coming along on these journeys with us. This blog was meant to be an outlet for us to share our experiences for friends and family. However, I saw it as this huge responsibility on top of everything else while we were actually traveling abroad. All the planning and adventure on top of working a full-time remote job can really add up!
So here we are jumping back into these wonderful and amazing experiences to share them with anyone who is interested. This was truly a life goal of mine for as long as I can remember. I still almost can’t believe that it happened and that was my life. I know Adam feels the same way as we were both just in awe of everything.
Toward the end of our adventures, we were quite burnt out because it involved a LOT of constant movement and again, I was working a full. time. job. I was ready to stop moving for a minute or two and Adam was ready to explore his passions outside of travel again. But this didn’t take away from everything we did and saw (and ate).
This post is really an introduction to everything that’s coming. We’ll start with a reflection on our time on the East Coast with our travels included before we jump overseas to the 6 month trek around the world.
Thanks again for being here and reading! We appreciate it very much.
